   Internships Available
   Dear Student:
   
   We are currently accepting applications for our 2016 internship program. This position will offer the right person many challenges and insights into the golf course industry. They will participate in all aspects of golf course maintenance including preparation of courses for daily play, fertilizer and plant protect applications and general turf maintenance. Bethpage State Park is a 90-hole facility. Many local and state tournaments are held every year on the various courses, including the NY State Open on the Black Course annually. There is opportunity to see many levels of golf course maintenance.
   
   Applicants should be students who are ambitious and have a desire to become part of a crew with championship standards. Interns will receive approximately $10.50 to 12.25 per hour. A typical work week is roughly 60-65 hours with overtime being paid for all hours over 40. Free housing is available at another state park 20 minutes from Bethpage. Interns must provide their own transportation to and from student housing. Meals are not provided.
